All of our dog training classes and courses are held in an enclosed private field in Ponteland. This is a fun and stress-free environment, perfect for learning. I also offer house visits, and accompanied walks in local areas. This includes Heddon, Ponteland and Darras Hall, Medburn, Kingston Park, Throckley, Great Park, Newburn, West Denton, Westerhope, Wylam and Chapel Park or Chapel House.
1-2-1 Session (60 mins)

These sessions are tailored to the needs and wants of you and your dog. Through ethical, positive and force-free methods, we can address any specific issues you may be facing. Sessions take place at a private field in Ponteland.
1-2-1 Accompanied Training Walk (60 mins)
£40 + mileage
Initial phone consultation before 1-2-1 session (30 mins)- FREE
Accompanied walks are designed to help address any specific issues your dog may be facing out and about. Accompanied walks are conducted at locations across the region.
Puppy Life Skills Package
£220
This Puppy Life Skills Package consists of 6 private lessons which cover key behaviours such as focus, calmness, socialisation, handling, recall and walking on the lead as well as problem prevention.
This is a great alternative to group classes, offering a more individual and focused approach, as well as greater flexibility in scheduling. These sessions can take place at your home or in my private, enclosed field. They are always tailored to the needs of you and your dog to ensure they are as beneficial as possible.
Entirely force-free, ethical methods, these lessons help to build confident, optimistic puppies who enjoy training!
This is for puppies of to 22 weeks of age.

Adolescent Survival Skills Package

Puppies usually become ‘teenagers’ at around five to six months of age and, depending on individual and breed, adolescence usually finishes around 18 months to two years.
There’s a lot going on in the teenage dog’s mind and body at this time and just like a human teenager, adolescent dogs can be frustrating and on occasion difficult to live with!
This package is tailored to the needs and wants of you and your dog. Through ethical, positive and force-free methods, we can cover behaviours such as recall, loose lead walking, lack of focus, and any specific issues you may be facing.

Recall Package

Recall is one of the most important behaviours to teach your dog. It helps to keep them safe, and means they can enjoy and benefit from exercise off lead. This package is designed to give dog guardians tonnes of new and fun ways to help build a solid recall.

Loose Lead Package

Canine Calmness Package

FAQs
Please bring
– A well-fitting harness or collar, and lead (preferably not a flexi-lead).
– Lots of tasty treats.
– Poo bags (just in case!)
- Check your spam folder.
- Be sure that your spam settings are allowing incoming emails from unknown senders.
- Add “jhunterdogtraining@gmail.com” to your approved sender list.
Your appointments and well-being are very important to us. However, if you need to cancel your appointment, we respectfully request at least 24 hours’ notice via email, text, Whatsapp or Facebook message.
If we do not receive this, or a client is not present at time of scheduled appointment, they relinquish the appointment slot and £25 of the original fee. This is to be paid via bank transfer within 24 hours after the appointment date.
Fees will only be carried over in the case of an unavoidable emergency or if Trainer is forced to reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances.
Clients will receive a reminder 48 hours before their scheduled appointment.
